through redevelopment we have been able to build the museum of the african diaspora, the california historical society and the jewish contemporary museum and of course the museum of the modern art. these cultural institutions have been central to this neighborhood and it's amazing the turn around and change that's happened to the yerba buena redevelopment agency over the last couple of decades. we would like to thank you for making the yerba buena neighborhood what it is. i just want to acknowledge both the alliance and the community benefits district in in efforts in moving this forward. south of market, it's definitely a neighborhood that is on the move and growing tremendous. i have a lot of concerns about the growth in the area. while i support the growth, i want to make sure we have the right mitigation and construction for this growth. i want to acknowledge who has been working with this office in finding ways to address the concerns that i have. height has never been a policy for me. if it is, i'm representing the wrong district. it's one that i'm supportive in the past as long as they

that i have with the report was if they want to change state law, i want to see what other cities in california are doing, l.a., oakland, san diego. somebody just separate me a report in l.a., it wasn't from mta, which was interesting. but the most problem that i have with is the fourth item, is the four-hour parking limit. as somebody who worked for the city and has a disability, one of my goals when i was working on the side was working for the city to hire more people with disability. i worked with walter parks and susan messner in trying to hire more people with disabilities. but if they are going to put a 4-hour time limit, without any, you know, any flexibility, then this is really not acceptable. and also, what about people with disabilities whose doctor's appointments are more than four hours? my wife has a disability placard and was in the dentist for over four hours. so i think there needs to be some flexibility and i hope mta would have an outreach, something modeled like we had at spur about disability. you know, pedestrian with the mta and sf walk and i think there needs to be a lo

there are other systems like this in california. in terms of the fears that were discussed i've spoken with the fire prevention inspection and they've not noted an incident including back up batteries. the fire department conducts inspectors as was mentioned on a routine base. i've been consistent with the appeals. first is the cad. and i quote the discussion is whether to possible have an impact on the environment. with all due respect i think this is a note an argument that's reasonable at all. the service issues are covered under d b i. i know that d b i has to continue to issue the permits with the service issues. and they have to have construction maps and i don't think it's relevant to our sequa discussion at all. a lot of the comment were focused on flooding issues. we have conflicting opinions from those who do the work at the building and some of the neighbors who talked about the flooding. first of all, this prior flooding happened in 2006. and let's be clear there were corrective actions taken. there's not at the same set
